Census - Canada - 1871 - Driver Family in Howick - Pg. 1
Three pages of census records provide a significant amount of information regarding the family as all but Sarah Jane resided in the townships of Howick, Ontario. The records also include Thomas, reportedly the brother of Joseph M Driver, appears but the remainder of suspected siblings does not.

The arrival date for the Driver family can also be narrowed. Joseph Henry, the youngest son was born in Ireland in 1849. The eldest grandchild (William's daughter, Mary) was born, it appears in 1856. That provides an estimated arrival between 1849-1856.

Residence at 587 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Eunice Driver - 33
Lenore Galloway - 1

I am unable to reconcile Lenore's last name as Galloway. Her marriage certificate in her first marriage states that her father is Herbert "Nick" Driver. Herbert's military records demonstrate that he returned to Canada in March, 1919 from the war. In October, 1919, his second partner (and potentially wife but there is a dispute in the family as to whether they legitimately were married) arrived in Canada from England. Given her birth-date, and the marriage certificate, I hypothesize that Herbert re-connected with his first partner (Eunice) and conceived Lenore. It appears on Gladys' arrival that Eunice and her youngest traveled east to Oshawa and her three eldest went west to British Columbia with their father (and step-mother).

Colonial Book Store Directory noting Erasmus as a farmer in Ludlow.

The year is unknown. But, we know that James Letchmere Price (1810) as the son of Richard and Abigail Hovey, who married his first cousin Grace Hovey was a Justice of the Peace in 1839, it is anticipated this entry relates to the senior James Letchmere Price born in 1810 and not Erasmus' son born in 1863

Potential option related to Ethel Euretta McMartin. However, this Ethel married her first cousin, John Allard. Whom, she moved in with after he father's passing. Wedding certificate in 1912 demonstrates it unlikely to be that this reported individual matches with my second great grandmother.

Herbert Driver - Assigned Pay 2 (AP2)
The record is notable because it started December 31, 1917 and it makes the following references:

* a notation dated March 26, 1918 is written above the words that appear to read “authy S.B.” where to the left the words Eunice Driver and the word wife are scratched off and replaced by Mrs. Jane Driver and it is noted below her name as the Children’s Guardian. The address for Eunice is noted as 528 Avenue K North, Saskatoon, SK. The date of March 26, 1918 is interesting because it is 2 days before Herbert attends for treatment for gonnorhea while in Saskatoon on furlogh.

* the words Mrs. Eunice Driver amd wife are struck out and replaced under the words “Change of Address” to include Jane Driver and a notation dated June 8, 1918 includes Jane Driver’s address of 528 Avenue K North, Saskatoon, SK.

* the body of the message includes a notation for April that reads “Cancelled per change in assignee”.

Herbert Driver - Attestation Papers (Att.)
Attended Sewell, Manitoba and received regimental number 114564. He was placed in the C.M.R. 9th Regiment which was broken up in England ad used to form, predominantly the 1st and 5th Regiments of the C.M.R. Herbert, ultimately did not join another C.M.R. regiment. It is likely he traveled to Sewell with George Dransfield, also from Nutana in Saskatoon who registered immediately before him in line.
Attests to his ability and willingness to be a member of expedition force at 31 years ad 3 month of age. Notes he resided at 703 Seventh Street, Nutana, Saskatoon and previously was employed as a steam engineer.

Herbert Driver - Casualty Form - CF1
Particularizes his transfers and reassignments. Of note, prior to joining the war he was a Steam Engineer which may have influenced the decision as to why he was assigned to the Canadian Armed Service Corps from the 9th Regiment of the Canadian Mounted Rifles rather than be assigned, as most from the 9th were, to the front lines through the 1st and 5th Regiments of the C.M.R.

Document details his transfers while at war.
