Second daughter Hannah MERRIT £25 in livestock or household furniture to be paid at her marriage. Wife Abigail MERRIT all real and personal estate "until the time of her Marrage or death." On wife's death, estate to be divided among Caleb MERRIT, John P. MERRITT and Stephen J. MERRIT, my sons. John VanWART, farmer, my wife Abigail MERRIT and my son Caleb MERRIT "my Soul Executors." Witnesses: Henry JENKINS, George CLARK, Edward JOHNSTON. Inventory, dated 30 August 1830, valued at £447 by Isaac VanWART and James TOOLE.
